The maximum torque of SAIC power 12E series engine is up to 2200 N.m, and the torque of 800 RPM is more than 50% higher than that of the similar domestic engines. The engine has the characteristics of heavy load, fast start, short acceleration time, strong climbing and passing ability, good cold start capacity, no power loss in the plateau and adaption to various severe conditions.

At present, SAIC power E series engine has been validated through long-term use in various severe conditions, for example, Qamdo Iron Mine in Tibet at the altitude of 4,000 meters, Foshan Quarry in Guangdong with hot and humid climate, Wudongde Hydroelectric Power Station in lofty mountains and high ranges, reclamation works in Huanghua, Hebei Province, etc. In addition, E series electronic control engine is equipped with the integrated JACOBScylinder brake system, reducing 85% wheel braking requirement, shortening the braking distance, and reducing the times of treading the brake pedal, so that driving is safer.
